Etta: I Was Only Trying To Get Laughs

Etta James says she was only trying to get a laugh out of the crowd, when she said she would whup Beyonce’s ass. James told the New York Daily News she meant no harm when she poked fun at the President and ripped Beyonce for performing her hit song “At Last” during the inaguration. She kept the insults rolling because the crowd was laughing so hard.

James also said “Even as a little child, I’ve always had that comedian kind of attitude.”

Maybe she should’ve gone into comedy at age 7 instead of 71.
