Has Drake Gone Broke Already?

Drake has decided to re-release his acclaimed mixtape So Far Gone at a retail price. After being available for download since February, the album, which spawned the summer anthem “Best I Ever Had” and the chart-rising “Successful”, will drop September 15th and feature only one new song. Though he claims the unheard track “Fear” will serve as a transition into his much-anticipated studio album Thank Me Later, set for a 2010 release, we can’t be sure the wait will be worth it. With four mixtapes already under his belt, a spot on a music tour aptly titled “America’s Most Wanted,” and a slew of guest appearances on songs by Mary J. Blige, Jamie Foxx, and the Young Money family, Drake better make sure his “buzz so big,” it’s enough to keep us intrigued. Are Heartbreak Drake’s pockets already empty? Why ask us to buy what we’ve already got for free?
