Ashanti To Star In The Wiz
Ashanti has been tapped to star in the Off-Broadway version of The Wiz. According to billboard.com, the singer is set to make her stage debut as Dorothy in an off-Broadway production of The Wiz.
Glam or Gross: Ashanti’s golden-rod frock.
This is the second adaptation of The Wizard of Oz Ashanti has been attached to; she also played Dorothy in the made-for-television movie The Muppets’ Wizard of Oz.
The Wiz will run June 12 – July 5. Ticket prices range from $25 – $110 and are available at the New York City Center Box Office (West 55th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues), through CityTix® at 212-581-1212, or online at nycitycenter.org.
