Are “Top Model” Tryouts A Sham?
According to the New York Daily News, cattle calls for “America’s Next Top Model” may be for show as well as filling up the show’s house of thirteen contestants. The paper reports that the show’s producers choose some models from “private tryouts” and that the casting calls in many cities across the country are “publicity stunts”. Per an insider who spoke to the newspaper,
” The producers had already picked some of the girls they wanted in private meetings,” says the insider. “They had to sign agreements promising not to reveal how they were chosen.”
Top Model wannabes aren’t going to be too thrilled if the rumor turns out to be true, especially after the March 14 cattle call in New York City, where an overheated car incited a riot and and six girls were taken to the hospital, followed by this past weekend’s do-over of that audition.
