How To Effectively Network
The Difference Between Networking & Stalking: Highlights From HB’s Women In The Workplace Workshop
A packed room of over 100 plus professional Black women crowded in to the InteractiveOne offices last weekend for the first ever “I’ve Got Work To Do: Women In The Workplace Workshop” hosted by HelloBeautiful.com.
The day long inaugural workshop boasted four panels that tackled issues facing women in advancing careers. Topics of discussion ranged from professional conflict resolution to salary negotiation, entrepreneurship and everything in between.
The first panel “Who Do You Know?” centered around cultivating meaningful relationships with mentors, networking and the value of professional organizations.
Panelists included: Tiffany Hawkins, Account Planning Director at Blue Flame Agency | Bad Boy; Monica C. Dennis, Co-Founder & Co-Director, S.O.W. Leadership Development Institute; Lily Himmelsbach, Director of Operations at Letsgiftit.com; Lauren F. Grant, Account Executive, The Nielsen Company; and Jenna Bond-Louden, Architect of Lady Bird & Company.
Check out some of the highlights of the panel below:
We will feature highlights from the other panels throughout the week.
