The Black and beautiful cast of ‘Sinners’ hit NYC last night for the premiere of the highly anticipated Ryan Coogler-directed vampire flick set in the 1930s Jim Crow South. Michael B. Jordan served us a double dose of chocolate, coming as himself and his twin character. Director Ryan Coogler, Wunmi Mosaku, Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Caton, Jayme Lawson, and Li Jun Li also brought the fashion to Manhattan’s AMC Lincoln Square.

Showing off the power of movie magic, MBJ appeared beside himself to represent the twin brothers Smoke and Stack, whom he portrays in the Coogler film.

‘Sinners’

Sinners is being hailed as some of Ryan Coogler’s best work, which says a lot since the director is behind films like Fruitvale Station, Creed, and both Black Panther movies.

“Ryan Coogler has solidified his place as one of the greats (more than he already has) with #Sinners. As good as you think it’s going to be, it’s better. Scary, SEXY, and social commentary with a hell of a bite,” said Slashfilm writer BJ Colangelo on X.

For Michael B. Jordan, one of the most difficult parts about filming was playing two characters. In an interview with TheHollywoodReporter, he revealed “I did every scene like four times, fives times, so I think the balance between going back and forth was difficult at times but you find a rhythm and after a while it was second nature. I had a lot of fun.”
