Jill Scott Goes Off On Twitter Over Grammy Nomination Snub
The 2012 Grammy nominations have been announced, and while many of our fave female artists were nominated (hey, Adele!), there was one notable name that was left off the list – Jill Scott.
When Jill got wind of her snub, she took to Twitter to express her anger:
“0 nominations. I’m speechless. Cover of Billboard, #1 cd in the country, tied/broke the record for Urban radio. Ok…so…ok. Wow.”
“No Miguel?!?!? Huh!!!? Again appalled.”
“I don’t need a Grammy. I deserve it & I’m clear on that. The Light of the Sun was/is magical . We were lifted & filled w/ truth. I ❤ it.”
“Thank you all for ur kind words of encouragement. It’s fine. I had a moment of wtf but I’m cool.”
“Ok good folks. Grammy’s do not define me. Have u ever deserved something and not gotten it? It sucks and is insulting. That’s it. No mas.”
“At least my girls were nominated. Congrats Ledisi and Marsha”
“My head is up. My son is healthy, my family is loving & so are my fans. God is real. Disappointments too still I come thru like a Kung foo.”
