A new shoe collabo is afoot between shoe giant Steve Madden and diva Diana Ross. Interestingly, though, it won’t be a fab stiletto on that foot; instead the duo is set to tackle the sneaker game.
Talk about anti-climactic! When we first came across the exciting news of a disco diva and an affordable shoe powerhouse joining forces we envisioned platforms, and models with big hair, and disco ball-riddled ad campaigns. Instead, we are getting sensible shoes. According to StyleList,
Rather than go for diva-glam, Studio 54-inspired platforms, the 65-year-old icon is working with Steve Madden on sneakers. Apparently, Madden, who has been looking to relaunch his sneaker line — to be carried at Foot Locker in the U.S. — was excited that he found a design collaborator in Ross, according to the paper.
The collaboration is still in its preliminary stages and further details have not yet been released. This should be interesting fashionistas!
