Who would dare cross Diddy??
It has been confirmed that after a five-year run, the contract between he and Warner Music Group/Atlantic Records will be terminated at the end of September.
Combs said in a statement:
“Now that the term of the Warner deal has ended, I have elected to accept an opportunity to move my recording career and future label venture to another company.”
Combs’ spokeswoman would not confirm which label he will be partnering with, though reports have said a deal is in place for his next album, “Last Train to Paris,” to be released by Interscope Records.
All this is a little strange though considering his departure cannot affect Warner/Atlantic’s joint venture with Bad Boy or its artists, like Cassie, Day26, and Cheri Dennis.
