Cynthia Bailey Chimes In On Kenya Moore ‘RHOA’ Drama
Cynthia Bailey has officially entered the chat! The ongoing drama between her long-time friend Kenya Moore and newbie Brittany Eady on the current season 16 of Real Housewives of Atlanta has sparked tons of opinions—and now the current “friend of” The Housewives is offering her take on things.
“I was shocked,” said Bailey on Sunday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live.” The supermodel turned reality TV star looked dapper in an oversized blazer that showed off her moisturized stems, topped off with a sharp hat. “I was a little disappointed,” she added.
The drama between the women is playing out before fans’ eyes, and Sunday night, they got to see the second part of the incident that has been sparking social media debate about who went low and who took it to hell.
This isn’t the first time Bailey was asked about her take on the debacle. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly Bailey shared her thoughts on the verbal altercation between the two women, in which Moore was threatened. Following the encounter, Moore shared explicit images of Eady at her an event for her new salon.
“I know Kenya. I just held her to a standard that I hold for my friends and I just felt like it was not good for Kenya,” Bailey told the outlet. “I just felt like she was bigger. I felt the way she responded was beneath her.”
“I know how hard she’s been working on that and this is a lifelong dream of hers,” Bailey said, referencing the opening of Moore’s Atlanta hair spa. “It’s just really unfortunate that it was overshadowed by the events that took place.”
Bailey also shared her disappointment that Moore’s season 16 journey came to an early and abrupt end. “I know that losing Kenya didn’t help us at all. We were literally the dream team,” she said.
“Bravo spent a lot of time curating their vision for season 16 with exactly the cast that started this whole season 16 journey together, and it’s just really unfortunate that the fans don’t get to see it play out with that official cast that they put together,” Bailey continued.
She maintained that the door to their friendship is always open, whether the two are on the show together or not. “At the end of the day, I have a real friendship with Kenya, and she knows that when she’s ready to talk, I am here,” Bailey said. “I will be happy to pick up where we left off.”
Following the March 30 episode that showed the start of her issues with Eady, Moore took to X, formerly known as Twitter, with a message.
“Being the longest-standing RHOA member threatened with whips and pistols by a newcomer 3 weeks into filming. Seeing this obsession play out is scary. I wanted protection and assurances that the threats would be taken seriously. I may be strong but I’m not bulletproof,” Moore wrote.
