Erica Dias’ was inspired by her late grandmother to create a unique dining experience that emulated the family dinners she was accustom to.
“Erica’s Table Of 20” — an invite-only event described as an intimate empowerment luncheon on the official website — brings together an elite group of women across various jobs in media over a fabulous dinner spread with unmatched elaborate decor.
Dias’ grandmother used to host the “most fun, inspirational and unforgettable dinner parties. I remember always getting dressed up, eating good, and having conversations with people from all over the world,” Dias explained in an e-mail exchange.
The celebrity publicist and author of Faith It Until You Make It yearned for that nostalgic feeling and decided to launch the eat-in series when she moved to Atlanta. “I decided to create my own version of my grandmother’s Sunday dinner.”
Dias admitted she’s always had a passion for “decorating tab settings and floral arrangements,” but was able to work with the world’s best event stylists to bring her visions to fruition. Honing in on her own skill, Dias recently began taking floral arrangement classes, which led to her next business foray — Helen Florals.
It’s safe to say sis is a master of her craft. And now the fabulous event planner is sharing her best table setting secrets with us!
Here’s how you can recreate your own fabulous dining experience at home this holiday.
Pick A Color Scheme
“In order to create the perfect arrangement for Thanksgiving, you must have a color scheme…then build off that. If you aren’t a professional, I would suggest purchasing flowers from Whole Foods and a block of oasis’s from Amazon, and use the oasis to form your beautiful arrangement. Also less is more, so visit Family Dollar and check out their simple, yet decorative vases and purchase maybe eight and put a few sunflowers in each one and place them down the middle of your dinner table. Class yet easy to execute.”
Watch A Tutorial And Create A Mood Board
You are in luck because I will be going live next week on November 18th to recreate some of my favorite ETO20 tablescapes. However if you guys can’t wait until then, create a mood board of your color scheme for your table scape and build from there. Even if you don’t have a big budget, AMAZON will always come in handy and Family Dollar.
