While you can throw your bras on the delicate cycle in the washing machine, a hand wash is a much better option. Hand washing your bras are more gentle on the delicate fabric. You can use detergent and put them in the sink to soak first.

Wash In A Lingerie Bag.

If you don’t have the time to hand wash your bras, then put them on the delicate cycle and wash them in a lingerie bag. Laundry Science creates laundry bags for the washing machine ($10.89, amazon.com). They come in regular and large size so they can fit most bra cups.

Rotate Your Bras.

How many bras should you own? I say at least 7. You will want to own at least 3 everyday bras because, well, you are wearing them everyday! You can wear one bra every other day or every two days. You’ll also want a nude bra, a strapless bra, and a plunging bra and a racerback bra for those t-strap tops. Don’t forget a sports bra as well to keep you secure while working out!

Do Not Wash Your Bras In Hot Water.

When washing your bras, wash them in cold or room temperature water. You do not want to wash your bras in hot water because of the elasticity in the bra band.

Never Place Your Bra In The Dryer.

Do not, I repeat, do NOT place your bra in the dryer. Like in hot water, the heat from the dryer can effect the elasticity of the bra. It can also effect the shape of the bra cup. Let your bras hang dry or lay them flat to dry.
