These Photos Of Danai Gurira Are A Visual Ode To Melanin

Photographer Jamie Neslon dropped some epic shots that she took of Danai Gurira to Instagram and it stopped us in our tracks. The photos are breathtakingly beautiful, showing off Gurira’s gorgeous melanin against rich hues and backgrounds.

The beauty is photographed in a pool with a black structured bralette and a black and white skirt that is either zebra print or mimicking the water. She wears a bold red lip and beautiful silver earrings, you see the mountains behind her for a stunning backdrop.

My personal favorite shot in the set. It looks as if Gurira is standing upon a moment, just looking fierce, fabulous and confident. I love the yellow-green dress floating in the wind and how her shoes match the tree so gloriously. The shadows fall so perfectly around her, almost wrapping themselves lovingly around her, similar to the tree.

Gurira looks picture perfect in this image wearing a white top and pants set that’s splashed with color. Her melanin is glowing against the blue background, which is a consistent theme throughout the editorial. She rocks a red lip and silver earrings with red stones. Gurira looks so strong in these photos!
