Black women’s natural beauty — from our hair to our style to our melanin — is nothing short of magic.
At this year’s CurlFest, we teamed up with our friends at SheaMoisture to pay tribute to the beauty and power of Black Women with a powerful short documentary that is a complete celebration of our hair and all of its beautiful texture and patterns.
From the festival’s founders, Gia Lowe, Simone Mair, Tracey Coleman, Charisse Higgins and Melody Henderson, to well-known activist Michaela Angela Davis, we spoke with Black people from all walks of life about why Black hair is so incredible.
In a time when we need to celebrate each other more than ever, Curl Fest was an incredible experience filled with melanin magic.
