‘Star Wars’ Actress Carrie Fisher Dies
Beloved ‘Star Wars’ actress Carrie Fisher has died after suffering a heart attack, Friday, during a flight to LAX, TMZ reports. Fisher was 60.
Fisher reportedly suffered a cardiac event 15 minutes before she landed in LAX. She was returning from London where she had filmed the third season “Catastrophe.” A passenger, who is an EMT, performed CPR on Fisher, who appeared to be lifeless.
She was later transferred to the UCLA Medical Center where she remained in intensive care until her death.
Fisher was best known for her portrayal of Princess Leia, a role she reprised in 2015 in the ‘Star Wars: Force Awakens.’
Fisher was promoting her book “The Princess Diarist,” where she revealed she had a short romance with her ‘Star Wars’ co-star Harrison Ford.
