After reality star Kim Kardashian was robbed in Paris while staying in her private estate, entertainment site MediaTakeOut landed in hot water for reports that the whole incident was a publicity stunt.
Kim’s legal team sued the gossip site and its founder earlier this month for libel.
Since then, MediaTakeout has removed the article and published a retraction on Monday, CNN reports.
They released this statement:
“MediaTakeOut knows that Mrs. Kardashian West was in fact robbed in Paris. We have permanently removed from our website any and all posts that suggested she staged the robbery, lied about it to the French police and committed an insurance crime.”
Well that’s settled.
