Frank Ocean has his fans waiting in anticipation for more and more.
On Friday at midnight, the 28-year-old dropped his visual album Endless, and now, he has his first stand-alone video for a song called Nikes.
The five minute piece is littered with nude people, club scenes, strippers, a talking Chihuahua, and hazy party scenes. All the while, he sits on the floor with a cup in his hand and eyeliner on his face.
As noted by Okayplayer, the song pays homage to ASAP Yams, Pimp C and Trayvon Martin, with a cameo from A$AP Rocky holding up framed photos of them. “Rest in peace ASAP, Rest in peace Pimp C, rest in peace Trayvon. A ni**a looked just like me,” he sings.
What’s most noticeable about the track is Ocean’s altered vocals, before his regular singing voice comes in toward the end.
Rolling Stone reports that the artist may drop his actual album, Boys Don’t Cry over the weekend. But regarding everything with Frank Ocean, we’ll just have to wait and see.
