President Obama Adorably Embarrasses Malia On Her Birthday
President Barack Obama couldn’t help himself and shamelessly embarrassed his older daughter, Malia, by singing to her on her birthday, which just so happens to be on Independence Day.
“And just because it’s a job of a father to embarrass his daughters, I’ve got one last job,” he said during the annual Fourth of July celebration at the White Hosue, after thanking the military and performers Kendrick Lamar and Janelle Monáe in a celebratory speech.
“It just so happens that we celebrate our country’s birthday on the same day we celebrate my oldest daughter’s birthday,” the president added before leading guests into the birthday song.
Malia, now 18, handled the moment with grace and joined her dad on stage and gave him a loving hug. Watch it all go down, below:
