Issa Rae's "Insecure" Drops Teaser Trailer
First Trailer For Issa Rae’s HBO Series “Insecure” Is Here
Fans have waited for what seems like forever, but finally the wait appears to be coming to an end soon for Issa Rae’s new HBO series Insecure. Today, the first look at the series dropped in the form of a teaser trailer and it looks like something special.
When it first was announced that Issa Rae signed a deal with HBO for her own series, fans who followed her since her Awkward Black Girl days were ecstatic. Anticipation soon followed as Rae has continued to keep fans up-to-date on the show’s progress. Well now we finally have a first look at the series and if you had any doubts that HBO would water down Rae’s comedic genius, you can breathe a sigh of relief.
If you don’t know exactly what the show is about or just need a refresher, the Insecure synopsis is described as the friendship of two black women and their uncomfortable experiences and racy tribulations. It stars Issa Rae, Yvonne Orji, Jay Ellis and Lisa Joyce.
Created and executive produced by Issa Rae, Insecure will makes its debut this fall with a total of eight half-hour episodes. Additional executive producers include Prentice Penny, Melina Matsoukas, Michael Rotenberg, Dave Beck and Jonathan Berry with Larry Wilmore as a series consultant.
