Gladys Knight has us ready to take some voice lessons! The Grammy Award winning “Empress of Soul” recently used her powers in a unique way.
While on her way to a choir performance for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints the car she was in got pulled over by a police officer in Pleasant Grove, Utah.
While the 71-year-old is a practicing Mormon, she was doing a speaking engagement at the church.
It just so happened to be Officer Paul Rogerson‘s birthday and when he learned the “Midnight Train To Georgia” star was the passenger, he asked if she would sing to him. Gladys got out of the car and happily serenaded the officer.
She was even all smiles when the office fanned out and asked for a photo. Needless to say, Gladys’ driver didn’t get a ticket!
