Nicholas Reeves, a researcher at the School of Anthropology at the University of Arizona is making waves with his claims about the location of Queen Nefertiti’s remains. Reeves suspects that the Egyptian royalty known for her immense beauty and power may be in a tomb down a corridor past King Tut’s tomb.

There will be a radar survey held of the premises to determine whether Reeves is correct. The researcher defends himself by saying: “If I’m wrong, I’m wrong. But if I’m right, we’re now faced with the extraordinary prospect of coming face to face with an intact pharaonic tomb.” Read more at NPR.

Jeb Bush Speaks With #BlackLivesMatter Associates, Gets Shut Down At Campaign Event

Perhaps in the efforts of emulating Hillary Clinton’s activity along the campaign trail earlier this week, presidential candidate Jeb Bush spoke with #BlackLivesMatter activists in advance of a town hall meeting he held in Las Vegas yesterday. Bush’s camp released a statement saying that he and the activists discussed his goals in uniting Americans and in holding transparent dialogue with voters.

However, Bush was in for a rude awakening during the town hall itself, as members of the crowd expressed their disappointment at his conservative views on immigration policy. Bush commented on his belief that undocumented immigrants shouldn’t be given paths to citizenship. Furthermore, Bush went on to talk about his past “empowering people in communities that [were told] they had no chance,” yet seemingly sidestepped his work as a leader in establishing “Stand Your Ground” legislation. The town hall abruptly ended with chants from #BlackLivesMatter protestors as Bush scurried off the stage without greeting the crowd on his way out. Things got especially heated between two attendees, as a BLM protestor and a Bush supporter got into each other’s faces, flipped the bird at each other and jeered taunting phrases. Attorney General Loretta Lynch has expressed her disdain for the shootout that recently occurred between a Ferguson teenager and local police. Lynch stated: “I strongly condemn the violence against the community, including police officers, in Ferguson. As we have seen over the recent months and years, not only does violence obscure any message of peaceful protest, it places the community, as well as the officers who seek to protect it, in harm’s way.” Lynch has notably been going against her predecessor, Eric Holder’s legacy in thoroughly criticizing cops for their racist behaviors. Lynch has been praising the police as “guardians” that have the ability to make peace for the communities they serve. Read more at the Huffington Post and the Washington Times.
