In case you missed it yesterday, Bree Newsome, an educator, activist, and our latest favorite Black woman getting things done, climbed up a flagpole in the South Carolina state capitol to bring down the Confederate flag. As she came down, she bravely said, “Yes, I am prepared to be arrested” as she was met by the cops.
