Sometimes big boss ladies like Shonda Rhimes are forced to make crucial decisions for the sake of business, and that is exactly what happened in the case of Rhimes’ new drama, The Catch. The famed Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy creator has decided to recast the male lead in The Catch, according to Variety.
Damon Dayoub, who was originally set to play the lead is set for a recurring role in another show, which he probably committed to first. Then there’s Bethany Joy Lenz, who is also being recast.
“Looks like they need a different type for Zoe, so I’ll be replaced, but please still watch! It really is such a good show and I’m so proud of my friends’ work!” stated the latter to WhoSay.
Things are changeable when it comes to TV and film so there was probably no shade intended.
