Chris Brown and Tyga have released a very colorful and braggadocios video for their new single, “Ayo” from their collaboration album Fan Of A Fan (out Feb. 24). Imagine if you were rich enough to afford a golden toilet, a pool filled with money just floating and sinking at the same time and a luxury sports car to drive your beautiful model girlfriend up and down these streets…that’s what it would be like to be in Breezy and Tyga’s video. These two literally threw money around for us to gawk at in “Ayo.”
This dream team’s sense of humor comes out throughout the entire video, but towards the end, as they’re speeding down the highway in luxury, officer Mike Epps spots them and gets excited that it’s Chris Brown and “Tigger,” then he proceeds to joke about them being in community service. While the lyrics will make your eyes roll, the video is exciting and fun. Check it out.
Up Next: Tamia Makes A Comeback With A ‘Sandwich & A Soda’
Oh hey Tamia! One of our favorite R&B songbirds is making a comeback! It was just last year that Tamia announced that she inked a new deal with Def Jam, but we haven’t heard anything since. Until recently when Tamia took to her Instagram account and shared a tease of her new single, “Sandwich & A Soda.” She says the full song will be available on Feb. 24.
When Tamia shared the song, she used the caption: “Get ready….#sandwichandasoda 2/24 newmusic #lovelife.” We’re wondering if “Love Life” is the name of her new album? Either way, it’s been four long years since we’ve had an album from Tamia and the world is ready!
Up Next: Beyonce, Kanye & Mary J. Blige To Perform At Grammys!
The 57th annual Grammy awards is happening this weekend, so we’ve been hearing whispers about who’s supposed to hit the stage and perform. This is literally becoming a show of performances and we’re not hating! It’s being reported that Mary J. Blige will hit the stage with six time Grammy nominee Sam Smith for their hit single, “Stay With Me.”
Guess who else? It’s been reported that Kanye West will hit the stage with Beatles legend, Paul McCartney and the bad gal herself, Rihanna to perform his latest single, on ode to his daughter, North West, “Only One.” You guys absolutely loved the video and we did too, so to see this live…we’re wondering if Yeezy is going to take the stage with North.
TIME magazine is saying that Kanye will be doing two performances! Kanye will both debut a “never-before-seen solo performance.” Well of course Kanye, we haven’t seen you at the Grammys in 2015 yet. We know Kim Kardashian claimed it was Yeezy season and all, but it’s always Beyonce season. The Queen Bey is rumored to also be taking the Grammy stage this weekend! It’s been said that she’s taking the stage with John Legend and Common during their performance of their Golden Globe-winning tune, “Glory.” We’ll believe that one when we see it. Apparently, she’ll be signing “Take My Hand Precious Lord” before segueing into “Glory.”
“We do have an incredible introduction to our performance,” Common exclusively told Us Weekly at the Tanqueray Trunk Show in New York City on Jan. 31. “A segue into our song ‘Glory,’ as a tribute to Selma, being done by the great Beyonce. That’s one of the greatest talents you can have, helping us segue into it. To co-create a performance with someone like her. It’s good.”
Madonna Drops New Single With Nas, “Veni Vidi Vici”
Nas must have gotten paid a pretty penny from Madonna for this new single, “Veni Vidi Vici” off her album with the offensive cover art she placed all over Black historical leaders, Rebel Heart. “I came, I saw, I conquered,” Madonna sings over the techno hip-hop beat. This album actually has a lot of hip-hop influence as it features a roster of rappers: Nas, Chance The Rapper, and Nicki Minaj (“Bitch I’m Madonna”).
Nas’ lyrics are pretty interesting as he mentions his bad relationships, including his marriage with singer Kelis and there’s even a Ferguson mention: ” If y’all burn down Ferguson, I’ma riot.” This just feels wrong in a Madonna song with her using the N-word and all, but we digress.
She’s released the tracklist, but the album doesn’t hit shelves until March 10.
