Nicki Minaj graces the cover of V Magazine’s Winter issue, stomping through the rose garden of her pretend palace in a daring pair of cherry red pumps that we’d give our left kidney for. The headline reads “Her Royal Minajesty Returns,” and we’re still trying to figure out when she left?!

Nicki dons a red Guess dress and matching beret on the cover, showing off her glossy stems and curvaceous silhouette. The “Anaconda” rapper opened up about empowering women, controversy surrounding her image and how she manages to stay true to herself in a male-dominated industry.

“I always feel it’s important for me to show females that they can be in charge of their own situation,” she said. “I came into the game creating my own brand. I was doing things very early on that set me apart from people who just took orders and allowed their brand to be created for them. I love women who take control, who set standards, and who believe in themselves enough to lead the way in terms of their career. I’ve done that. When I win and when I lose.”

As for her rambunctious rapping style, it’s earned her respect from artists who admire her uniqueness. “I always push the envelope, because I’m Nicki Minaj. I have to. No matter who I’m on a song with, I feel like I have to say at least one thing no one else is willing to say. Whether it’s Madonna, Britney, or Beyoncé, they always tell me, ‘Yes. Be Yourself. Talk your sh*t.’”

And for goodness sake, no more questions about her “Anaconda” cover. “You’re talking about newspeople who don’t even know anything about hip-hop culture. It’s so disrespectful for them to even comment on something they have no idea about. They don’t say anything when they’re watching the Victoria’s Secret show and seeing boobs and thongs all day. Why? Shame on them. Shame on them for commenting on “Anaconda” and not commenting on the rest of the oversexualized business we’re a part of.”

All hell broke loose during the “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” reunion taping and the cast of the VH1 hit show are still shaken up by it. Just yesterday, it was reported that Ray J’s girlfriend Princess Love attacked his former assistant Morgan Hardman after she claimed Ray physically abused her with Princess there as a witness. After the show was taped, Yung Berg was arrested for attacking his girlfriend Masika, in a move his cast mates described as “out of character.”

Teairra Mari and Morgan made an appearance on “The Breakfast Club” where Morgan made more allegations against Ray’s character, claiming that he not only hit her on one occasion, but hits Princess nearly everyday which is one of the reasons they got into a fight at the reunion. Morgan was hurt Princess wouldn’t corroborate her abuse story and said, “I was trying to stop him from hitting Princess. That was my job to always cover things up.” She added, “I’m not the only one he hit and neither is Princess. I will say that.”

Teairra, who was in a relationship with Ray for nearly 10-years, said Ray never hit her. Morgan also makes it clear Ray has a problem. Teairra was particularly quiet and seemed bothered by something that she said she couldn’t reveal because it would give away the show.
