Tahiry Speaks Out About Being Attacked

When will the violence against women end?

Earlier this week, “Love & Hip Hop” star Tahiry Jose was violently attacked by male production manager–Carlos Gonzalez –at an event for Toure at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. According to reports, Gonzalez allegedly had it out for the reality star from the beginning and treated her and her team in a disrespectful manner when they arrived to the venue. Things grew physical when Tahiry responded to his vulgar comments.  That’s when a source says Gonzalez “blacked out.”

The YBF reports, Gonzalez “repeatedly struck Tahiry while trying to drag her hair. It took 7-8 men to pull him off her.” Tahiry was treated at Lenox Hill hospital and confirmed the attack on Instagram. She posted this photo on Instagram with this caption:

Thank you ALL for your well wishes. I am both appreciative and grateful to have you on my team and call you #teamtahiry! I am sincerely touched by your outpouring of love.

As you may or may not know, on Monday, Sept. 8, I was attacked, assaulted and violated, while in the workplace, by a man. I was beaten because I am woman with a voice and refuse to be disrespected. It is more proof that the violence against women is real and needs to be addressed publicly. The shaming and disrespecting of women/victims of violent abuses must stop. Violence against women must stop; a women’s voice and refusal to be disrespected is not grounds for physical abuse. #iamwoman #myvoicematters

More to the point, I am home, healing and surrounded by love.

Rest assured, I will continue all my efforts and endeavors with the same faith, determination, passion and spirit I have always possessed.

Again, thank you! You are ALL heroes of mine!
Love, Tahiry

Between the Ray Rice controversy and now this, it’s becoming more and more apparent that society is more accepting of violence against women.

Ray Rice Told NFL Commissioner About Vicious Punch In June

Video of Ray Rice knocking his then-fiance Janay Palmer unconscious in the elevator of an Atlantic City hotel surfaced this week, but according to reports, Ray Rice admitted to the NFL commissioner–Roger Goodell–in June that he punched now-wife in the face, contradicting Goodell’s claim that he didn’t know the extent of the altercation until footage was released to the public.

“Ray didn’t lie to the commissioner,” a source revealed on “Outside the Lines.” “He told the full truth to Goodell—he made it clear he had hit her, and he told Goodell he was sorry and that it wouldn’t happen again.”

Rice was originally suspended for two games after the initial video showed him dragging Janay from the elevator, but not the actual blow that knocked her out. Once the detailed visuals were leaked, Goodell did some damage control by suspending the former Raven’s running back from the NFL indefinitely.

Clearly the video didn’t matter until the public saw it.

Nicki Minaj Has Booty Implants?

It’s a pretty known fact that Nicki Minaj has had some type of work done to enhance her derriere, but photos from a recent performance at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn has fans wondering if the “Pink Print” rapper has booty implants.

Nicki was performing her bootylicious routine to “Anacodonda” when photogs caught an unflattering image of her booty cakes that appear to be malformed. The photos sparked chatter on social media from fans who think it looks like a booty implant straight out of a scene from “Botched.”

If you watched the performance, you too noticed that they barely kept the camera on Nicki, using zoomed-out shotsto hide the raunchy choreography. Nicki accused CBS networks of not appreciating art.

“My darlingz, I wish you could’ve seen the choreography on the 2nd verse of ANACONDA last night,” Nicki Minaj posted on Instagram. “It was absolutely divine. CBS decided not to show it. Had they told us this before, we would have changed the choreo so that you guys could see the full performance from beginning to end. They already had you tuned in tho. Artists spend so much of their own money, time and passion to deliver their fans great performances. But ultimately, our art usually falls into the hands of people who care nothing about our art and creativity. Promise you’ll get to see this new choreo soon. Love uuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!! 11.24 ~ The Pinkprint ”

What do you think?

In related news, Nicki was denied the to opportunity to speak at her old high school. “I wanted to go back to my HS and speak to the students but the new principal declined. No need for me to inspire them, I guess. Smh,” she tweeted. When asked by a fan if she was given an explanation, the Barb responded, “Not really…I guess I’m not good enough.” The “Bang Bang” rapper also retweeted several kind messages. “That school changed my life and I wanted to pay it forward to the students there now,” she tweeted. “I was really looking forward to it.”

We know the student body is up in arms, but the NYC Department of Education says in an official statement that they’re following the principal’s rules:

We do not allow reality TV to be filmed on school property. For documentaries, any visit to a public school must be educational in nature and cannot intrude on instruction, and the decision about whether we can accommodate visits from celebrities is entirely up to the Principal who manages the property.

Chris Brown’s Advice For Ray Rice

Either those jail stints worked wonders for Chris Brown or he finally got the media training he so desperately needed. The 25-year-old artist is finally showing strides on his journey for redemption.

Brown, who’s promoting his upcoming album “X,” was completely open during a recent sit down with Sway Calloway. The “Loyal” singer even offered Ray Rice advice on how to cope with anger issues.

“I think it’s all about the choices you make,” Brown told Sway. “With me, I deal with a lot of anger issues from my past – not knowing how to express myself verbally and at the same time not knowing how to cope with my emotions and deal with them and understand what they are.”

Ray Rice was suspended indefinitely after footage of him striking his wife went viral. The footage shed light on the NFL’s tolerance of domestic violence. Brown infamously battered his ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.

I think help is great,” he added. “I still talk to my therapist twice a week, and it helps me to…if I’m frustrated and I’m dealing with something, to vent and say what I’m going through so I can hear from an actual clinical person, ‘this is how you should react,’ or ‘it’s good to feel this way because feelings, emotions, and energy are supposed to come and go. It’s not supposed to stay there, you’re not supposed to keep it inside, because it’ll bottle up and you’ll become a monster.’”

Brown was sentenced to rehab where he spent weeks working on himself.

“For me, dealing with my anger issues and understanding myself and the life I’ve been through, where I’m headed and where I want to be has helped me focus on what’s really important and not F up,” he explained. “For anybody who’s going through that situation or anybody who’s dealing with it — it’s all about the choices. Every situation is different but it’s all about the choices you make and how you control your anger.”

He finished with, “To Ray, or anybody else — because I’m not better than the next man — I can just say I’ve been down that road. I deal with situations and I’ve made my mistakes too, but it’s all about how you push forward and how you control yourself.”

Good answer.

In other Chris Brown news, he performed the title track off of “X” on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
