T.I.’s Poetic Response To Ferguson
As innocent protestors and media are pelted with rubber bullets, tear gassed and arrested in Ferguson, Mo, celebrities like John Legend, Jessie Williams and T.I. are speaking out about the atrocities being committed against Blacks. T.I. spoke out about the events occurring in Ferguson on Instagram. T.I. posted two messages on the social media platform, calling to task the “substandard education systems” and the rioters who he says are destroying the community.
The southern rapper wrote:
Look at us….America has created a monster. The result of ignoring & mishandling an already fragile spirited, recently enslaved, presently oppressed race/generation of people. Look at us. We’re the monster that now refuses to be dismissed, overlooked,& ignored. We were brought to this place, unaware of our own cultures, religion,&traditions therefore,we created our own. Now look at us. For years we’ve been crying out for the nation to address the substandard education systems & disparaging treatment of our citizens in communities across America. Our people have had an increasing lack of opportunities for generations. There have been homes broken, lives shattered, and futures lost on your watch….unanswered. Look at us. How long can u expect a nation/race/generation of people to be blatantly disrespected? Spoken to and treated with arrogant tones of insignificance. Our fathers, uncles, brothers& role models were killed& Imprisoned more often than educated. Now look at us. Our friends,& relatives Murdered and cast aside without thought,as though your human life is more valuable than ours. How long can that go on without consequence? Now Look at us. How long can u continue to pass the buck & make excuses of why u can’t do today what should have been done yeste-year? Although I DO NOT support the negative responses & actions of my people in light of dis tragedy….I WILL NOT condone your lack of effort to show any urgency to improve the treatment of our people, nor the living conditions in our communities. Your refusal to address these life altering issues makes events such as these seem inevitable. Although I too am at fault to a degree & I admit that I may not have all da answers… I do have a fun fact for you. Insanity is…Going about things the same way, expecting a different result. U wanna different result? U must take different action. What else do u expect? Look at us!!!
A few hours later, he posted this follow-up message:
(To My People)Look at us. Rebels without a cause. Soldiers without a general. A lost generation. Ready for War. No strategy,no training. Armed only with our grief, aggravation, and passionate disdain for our treatment in America. Sick and tired of everything…especially ourselves. We’d rather use the tragedies of our environment as an excuse to act-out,go-off,or turn-up, rather than use our education, talents & future opportunities to get-out,speak-up,& make-a-change. Look at us… Too Enraged to sit around & do nothing. But Too Entrapped in da cycle of vengeance/hostility to do anything WORTH doing. Look at us. So upset with our conditions that we’ve gone into “Fuck-it” mode… “Fuck-the-world” “Fuck-the-Police” And even “Fuck” the wishes & request of a grieving mother, father, family who lost a son…who’s memory they would NOT like to see tarnished by OUR negative ACTIONS/DECISIONS. Naaah G,that ain’t the code, this ain’t da way. What I see us doing is just as futile as swinging wildly into the wind, waiting on the air to get tired. One question to MY PEOPLE: What are we changing…Really? Look at us. Destroying our own community, but continuing to spend money in theirs. Refusing education… re-volving in the same cycle of ignorance instead of e-volving out of it. I must admit that I TOO am disgusted wit America’s treatment. I TOO demand change. But Goddddaaaaamn man…. Look at us!!!!! Although I too am at fault to a degree & I admit that I may not have all da answers… I do have a fun fact for you. Insanity is…Going about things the same way, expecting a different result. U wanna different result? U must take different action. What else do u expect? Look at us!!!
Do you agree with T.I.?
In related news, Diddy called out President Obama, asserting that the President needs to go to Ferguson because it his people suffering. We’d almost take that seriously if Diddy wasn’t delivering the message from his luxury studio. Watch the clip, below:

Rihanna & Drake Back Together?
Drake and Rihanna may have suddenly severed ties with rapper Drake, but it looks like the couple may have rekindled their romance. Ri Ri and her bestie Melissa Ford were spotted in the audio booth at the “Drake vs. Lil Wayne Tour” in New York, Monday night. Witnesses say they saw the couple partying at The Griffin club in the Meatpacking District.
Video surfaced showing Ri Ri and Drake leaving the club in separate cars–which obviously means they’re trying to hide something...or nah?! Their reunion comes after Drake subliminally called her a devil during one of his recent shows. Ri Ri must have rainbows sprouting from her va-jay-jay.
Watch Ri Ri vibe out to Drizzy’s performance:
In related news, Chris Brown and Karrueche are back on after rumors suggested the couple had a falling out. Breezy, who’s promoting her forthcoming album “X,” posted this image of Karrueche on his Instagram. Karrueche made Breezy her #MCM, saying “Lovers.. Friends.. We love, we laugh, we fight.. It’s complicated and I can’t explain it but it’s not for you to understand but us .. My MCM.” Brown responded, “Who the f*ck is this n*gga? U cheating on me? Lol. Love you babe.”

K. Michelle Accuses Elle Varner Of Stealing Her Identity
K. Michelle isn’t one to mince words, so when she was asked about her dormant beef with Elle Varner, she didn’t hold back. In case you’re out of the loop on this one, K. Michelle called Elle “thirsty” after the “Refill” singer “flirted” with Meek Mill on Instagram.
During an interview with Hot 97 yesterday, Michelle expanded on her beef with the “Cold Case” singer, saying:
I had a record. It was my favorite record. It was “Ride Out” on my album and I wasn’t allowed to put out that record because management said the record was already too big. I’m supposed to be the little black girl singing about heartbreak and down and out and f–k n—as. I’m not supposed to grow and be me because they place you in a lane and want you to stay in that lane and I refused. So I had this record and it was too big. Too big of a record.
I played that record for my friend [Elle] at that time. The next thing I knew she threw off her shoes and said, ‘Oh my God, this is a great record.’ So, when she went through her breakup with Iman [Shumpert], she was searching for an identity. She wanted to be more sexy. She started wearing wigs. She started hanging around me and she started to curse and say, ‘I’m the real bad girl.’ Okay, b—h you can have that. I’m trying to get out of being the bad girl. You see how much fun it is getting talked about every day. Right now they think you sell Girl Scout cookies every day so fine.
But she played me a record. She said, ‘You like the record?’ I said, ‘That’s my record. Ain’t nobody yodeling on the hooks but me.’ Then you went to the same producers. I came to [her] like a woman. I said, ‘This is my record. You can’t put that out. That sounds like me.’ [She copied my style.] But I said it to you as a friend in a proper manner. I said it to management in a proper manner.
And just in case you thought the beef started and ended there, you are mistaken. The “Rebellious Soul” singer added:
I’ve never slept with Meek in my life. Me and Meek are friends. We flirt and poke, know what I’m saying? We don’t poke.
I did have a crush on Meek. We do that. You know that as my friend, me and Meek do this. You get on Twitter and say, ‘Yeah Meek tried to talk to me and I swerved him.’ Okay, why would you do that to your friend? But I’m the crazy one. I’m the mean one. I let it slide.[…]She wanted attention because we don’t give a f–k about that India.Arie a– music. No offense against India.Arie because I love her. We like India because she’s India. [Elle’s] not India. Go sit down trying to be K. Michelle and India with the guitar. It just don’t work.
So when you grinning taking pictures with Meek and he posted under the comments that he’s posting this picture to her know how real the swerve was. He’s still f–king with you, you know what I’m saying? It was just too much for the attention that she wants. I get it. I understand it. I’m not gonna lie. She can sing. I’ll never take her gift from her but I was very, very quiet in that situation.
Once she took my song and because we got into about the song you’re doing this and posting pictures with Meek with hearts and s–t to try and just do something. But y’all don’t get on her for that.
Elle has yet to respond to K. Michelle’s negative comments. Watch the full interview, below:
UP NEXT: Nick Cannon & Mariah Carey On The Rocks?
Nick Cannon & Mariah Carey On The Rocks?
In news that’s a little surprising to us, Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey may be separating soon. According to Page Six, they have been “living separately” and may soon be splitting up after six years of marriage. It’s reported that Mariah has accused Nick of cheating and has gone as far as hiring security guards to keep Nick away from other women. “The security guard wasn’t there to keep the girls away from him,” said one source to Page Six. “It was to keep him away from the girls.”
It is odd that we haven’t seen Mariah and Nick out and about lately. Even as she was promoting her latest album, “Me. I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse” and her new drink, we didn’t see Nick by her side at all. But, until we get confirmation from either one of them, we’re going to say this is just a rumor.
