Get your pen and paper (or tablet) ready! According to Deadline.com, class will be in session on October 17 when Dear White People hits theaters. Could the timing be more appropriate?!
Anyone tracking the Justin Simien-directed satire knows that it’s not going to be anything like the more dramatic black films that mainstream audiences have come to love. A new trailer for Dear White People plays on those expectations by mentioning The Blind Side, The Butler and The Help.
