Kanye Reveals It Took Four Days To Perfect His First Wedding Photo

Kanye West is no longer a fan of famed photographer Annie Leibovitz, and he wants the world to know.

During a press conference at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, Kim Kardashian’s husband shared his true feelings about the Hollywood photo taker, who he said bailed the day before his wedding because she was “scared of the idea of celebrity.”

As a result, West said he and Kim spent four days perfecting the picture for our viewing pleasure. “Because Annie pulled out, I was like, ‘Okay, I still want my wedding photos to look like Annie Leibovitz,’ and we sat there and worked on that photo for, like, four days because the flowers were off-color,” he revealed. “Can you imagine telling someone who wants to just Instagram a photo, who’s the No. 1 person on Instagram, ‘We need to work on the color of the flower wall,’ or the idea that it’s a Givenchy dress, and it’s not about the name Givenchy, it’s about the talent that is Riccardo Tisci — and how important Kim is to the Internet.”

He went on to say that Leibovitz ruined his honeymoon because this new bride was pissed off about the extra work. “She was exhausted because we worked on the photo so much,” he said. “It was a long time… why did Annie Leibovitz pull out one day before the wedding?”

On the bright side, it looks like their “hard work” paid off. The pic of the newlyweds kissing on their big day became the most popular post on Instagram ever, with almost 2 million likes and 35,000 comments.

“The fact that the No. 1 most-liked photo has a kind of aesthetic was a win for what the mission is, which is raising the palette,” he concluded.
