PM BUZZ: Oprah Defends Paula Deen?; Chris Brown To Retire From Music?; Usher’s Son In ICU After Pool Accident!

Oprah is not here for the usage of the “N-word.” Recently, the Big O told Parade Magazine, You cannot be my friend and use that word around me. It shows my age, but I feel strongly about it…I always think of the millions of people who heard that as their last word as they were hanging from a tree.” Well, it’s no wonder Extra TV’s A.J. Calloway asked Oprah about Paula Deen, because as far as we know, they’re friends (Deen’s been on Oprah’s show countless times and has even stayed at her house once for “OWN’s Next Chapter”) and it’s obvious the butter-loving cook has used the “N-word.”

Oprah let it be known, “Everyone’s saying, ‘What do you think of Paula Deen!’ Oh my god! I don’t have anything to do with Paula Deen. She is not the first white lady to use the ‘n’ word! Good lord!”

Well, obviously Oprah doesn’t want to hear anyone saying the “N-word,” but she definitely doesn’t want to have to answer about Paula Deen using it.

Chris Brown is no stranger to obstacles, but it seems as though the “Fine China” crooner is having a tough time handling his bad reputation. We all remember in 2009 when Chris Brown threw the fist that would not only bash Rihanna’s face, but impact his career as well. Rihanna’s star shot straight through outerspace, while negative judgment was constantly passed on Breezy, creating a mist of anger around him.

Brown quit social media, interviews and even his on-again off-again girlfriend in the years after the tragedy and has now decided to quit music. He tweeted:

These tweets were sent after Breezy spent almost an hour in jail. According to TMZ, Chris managed to quietly “check himself into a Van Nuys jail” yesterday afternoon for the hit-and-run case filed against him earlier this summer and was released with no bail. Checking yourself in to jail? It’s called turning yourself in!

Here’s hoping Chris doesn’t actually quit music. I am a fan. Although, this does feel like a cry for attention.

TMZ ran into Kelly outside of the Sony offices and he told them the newest chapters are only a few months away!

He’s claiming Michelle maced him, his adult daughter and another family member. He insists he never laid a finger on her. Evidently, Terrence has threatening text messages from Michelle that go from, “I would start hiding if I were u” to I”Be careful when u leave your place.” SMH!

Michelle has admitted to Terrence before that she is “insane” and has been to a “crazy institute.” Is Michelle crazy enough to frame Terrence?

Up Next: Usher’s Son In ICU After Pool Accident

OMG! Usher’s adorable son Usher Raymond V is in the ICU at an Atlanta hospital after an accident in the pool.

TMZ is reporting that:

The child was playing in the pool with his aunt and saw a toy in the drain. He dove down to get the toy and his arm got stuck in the drain. The aunt immediately dove in to rescue him but couldn’t get his hand out. The maid then dove in and tried but was also unsuccessful.

After asking for help from two men working in the house, Usher V was freed and given CPR. Usher arrived shortly after and rode with his son as they rushed him to the hospital. Tests are being ran on Usher V and reports say he will be fine. Thank goodness!

This is the second time one of Usher’s kids (well his ex Tameka’s son) was hurt via an accident in the water. Tameka’s 11-year-old son Kile from a previous relationship passed away last year from injuries sustained during a jet ski accident.
