We’ve had the opportunity to grow up with our favorite twins, Tia and Tamera, both on and off camera. From their high school and college days on “Sister Sister,” watching the drama unfold as Tia played Melanie on “The Game,” to their marriages and first born children and now their hilarious reality show. We’ve grown to love everything about them!

The girls have definitely proven themselves to be role models in the Black community as they’ve successfully balanced a demanding career, mother hood and married the men of their dreams. Anyone else taking notes on just how they got the perfect life?

5. Your Sibling Can & Should Be Your Best Friend
Aside from the fact that Tia and Tamera are identical twins, they’re also the best of friends! What more could you ask for? a sister and a bestie on call 24/7 all wrapped up into one! Watching Tia and Tamera’s relationship evolve from their “Sister Sister” days to more recently on their reality show has taught us that it’s possible to have a best friend in your family member, despite how much sibling rivalry you might go through!
4. You Can Be A Working Mom & Still Look Fly While Doing it
Tia and Tamera have both become mothers in the past years and although balancing motherhood and a career may seem a little tough for those of us who haven’t had children yet, the twins have definitely showed us that you can be a successful career woman and a mother at the same d*mn time. While Tia continues to grace us with her acting skills on various television shows, Tamera has just signed on for a new talk show entitled “The Real.” Aside from their success on screen, the sisters are also successful authors and entrepreneurs all while having their diaper bags and baby bottles in tow!

3. Love Comes In All Colors
Come on, it is 2013 and interracial dating is more common then it was 10 years ago. After all, Tia and Tamera are the product of an interracial marriage themselves! After Tamera announced that she would be marrying her Adam Housley, who happens to be a White man, she received tons disapproval from critics over her choice to date outside of her race. Although the negative comments hurt Tamera, she didn’t let that change the way she felt about her man. In fact, she explained that when she dating him, she disregarded his color altogether and emphasized the fact that she fell in love with him for who is–something we could all use a little lesson in!
2. Motherhood Is Amazing
As if we didn’t know this already, Tia and Tamera definitely confirmed it for us! Watching the girls play the roles of wife and mother on their reality show and the media proves that being married and having children should be apart of every woman’s life plan. Tia and Tamera make being a wife and mother look effortless and actually a lot of fun!

1. You Can Be A Successful Celebrity And Still Maintain A Clean Image
While many child actresses and reality television stars have an excessive history of drama surrounding their personal lives, Tia and Tamera have managed to maintain a squeaky clean image throughout the duration of their whole career. They’ve openly expressed the importance of their family’s support, faith in God, healthy lifestyle and desire to be overall great people and have managed to become a great example of how a woman should be! Bravo!
