Not only does the Yeezus rapper shed insight on his creative process, he reveals his true feelings about Christianity, narcissism, pornography and Kim Kardashian, who he refers to as his “true love.”
He may have one of the biggest ego in music, but his mind and talent never fails to entertain us.

Take a look at 10 new things we learned about the 36-year-old superstar here.
1. His love of design includes furniture and pornography.
“Furniture is my superobsession now. Furniture and pornography, still. The porn thing has never left since I was in high school.”
2. He has “issues with certain elements of Christianity.”
“I’m Christian in the same way that people have issues with certain elements of Christianity. It’s like if you go into a Ralph Lauren store, maybe that buyer didn’t do the exact buy that you want, but you still really like that brand.”
3. He refers to Kim Kardashian as his true love.
At a certain point, or always, love is more important than any branding, or any set of cool people, or attempting to impress anyone. Because true love is just the way you feel,” he said. “Thoughts and feelings can disagree sometimes.”
4. He really believes he’s a god.
“I made that song because I am a god. I don’t think there’s much more explanation. I’m not going to sit here and defend sh*t. That sh*t is rock ’n’ roll, man. That shit is rap music. I am a god. Now what?”
5. He has a tattoo of his mother.
“This is me and my mommy,” he said of the tattoo of Madonna and Baby Jesus on his forearm.
6. He has a sex tape.
“For the most part, I’d rather people have one of those home videos than some of the paparazzi photos that get published,” he said. “At least I recorded the shit myself. That tape couldn’t have hurt me in any way if it came out—it could only have helped.”
7. He’s not to be trusted.
“You should only believe about 90 percent of what I say. As a matter of fact, don’t even believe anything that I’m saying at all. I could be completely fucking with you, and the world, the entire time.”
8. He says being misunderstood is God’s practical joke on him.
“God’s little practical joke on me—as an intellect who doesn’t like to read a lot—is like, I’ll say some superphilosophical sh*t, but I’ll say it the wrong way,” he said, laughing. “I’ll use the wrong word, so it goes from being really special to completely retarded.”
9. His ego is his drug.
“On one end, I try to scale it back,” he said. “Because I don’t want to close any of the doors needed to create the best product possible. But my ego is my drug. My drug is, ‘I’m better than all you other motherf**kers. Kiss my a**!’ ”
10. He believes his collaboration with Jay-Z on the Watch The Throne album was like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates.
“It was like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates talking at the same time. You know which one of us was Steve.”
Welp. Just another day in the mind — and ego — of Mr. West.
