Woman Sues MAC After Allegedly Getting Herpes From ‘RiRi Woo’ Pop-Up Shop

In recent very disturbing news, a 28-year-old woman from New York recently filed a lawsuit against MAC for allegedly giving her herpes.

Starkeema Greenidge attended the same Rihanna concert at the Barclays in Brooklyn on May 7th that I did. She stumbled upon the same creepy dark dimly red lit pop-up shop in the middle of the arena that I also happened to see that evening. But it was wildly crowded and I thought to myself… I’ll wait!

The NY Daily News reports that the MAC employee instructed Starkeema to “press her lips together and spread the lipstick around,” according to the suit. Just two days after attending the concert she developed a cold sore that left her unable to work for two weeks. Her doctor diagnosed it as herpes.

She’s now holding the makeup giant responsible, via her lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court, claiming that “(MAC) didn’t use a fresh or new lipstick tube, but rather one that had been used for other patrons.”

Of course MAC representatives have yet to respond to these claims.
