IT’S OFFICIAL: Jennifer Hudson Signs On To Judge “American Idol” Season 13
Jennifer Hudson will be the first American Idol alum to sit at the judge’s table.
According to E! News, the season three finalist just signed on to join the singing-competion show’s 13th season.

Sources say former contestants Kelly Clarkson, Adam Lambert and Clay Aiken are also close to singing a deal. Producers are aiming to create a “superstar-alum” theme to help boost the show’s declining ratings.
It’s been confirmed that season 12 judges Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Randy Jackson and Keith Urban will not be returning.
