Music lovers are in for a treat this spring season. Many of our favorite artists are schedule to release their long-awaited projects, from hip-hop veteran LL Cool J to R&B songstress Fantasia. Take a look at 7 albums we know we can get excited about this spring.
1. LL Cool J, Authentic
Don’t call it a comeback. LL Cool J’s 14th studio album is scheduled to hit stores and digital retailers on April 30th. Authentic not only features 12 new songs from the rap veteran, but appearances from Snoop Dogg, Charlie Wilson and Earth, Wind & Fire.

2. Fantasia, Side Effects of You
Originally due out in March, the fourth studio album from our favorite American Idol winner is set to hit stores on April 16th. With Side Effects of You, the 28-year-old said she’s matured in more ways than one. She tweeted, “My Baby!!! My Blood, Sweat, Tears. My Name, My Joy, My Pain, My Album.. Side Effects of You!!!!! ROCK♥SOUL.”
3. Lil Wayne, I Am Not a Human Being II
Fresh out the hospital, Lil Wayne is preparing for the release of his tenth studio album, I Am Not a Human Being II. On March 26, fans of Lil Tunechi can pick up his latest body of work, which will includes songs like “Days And Days” feat. 2 Chainz, “No Worries” feat. Detail and “Lay It Down” feat. Cory Gunz & Nicki Minaj.
4. Eve, Lip Lock
Eve’s highly-anticipated new album is scheduled to hit stores on May 14. After a 10-year hiatus, the rapper says her new project, Lip Lock, includes the music she “always wanted to make.”
“I’ve been wanting to come back, but the situation hasn’t been right,” she said in an interview at Power 105.1. “I felt mainly my situation as far as label stuff, management, lawyers—literally the whole situation. Now, it’s the right situation. I know it’s been a minute. I miss my music. Music is my first love.”
5. Ashanti, BraveHeart
Ashanti’s forthcoming album Braveheart has been pushed back so many times that we really hope this is the final release date. As of now, it’s scheduled to arrive in stores on June 4th…we’ll see.
6. Tyga, Hotel California
Young Money rapper Tyga is scheduled to release his new studio album, Hotel California, on April 9th. Just like his previous projects, we are sure this album will be full of radio bangers and club hits.
7. Will.I.Am., #willpower
Will.I.Am’s long-awaited solo album is set to be released on April 23rd. He has a massive list of collaborators on the project, including Chris Brown, Diddy, Lil Wayne and Nicole Scherzinger. The album’s first single, “#thatPOWER” featuring Justin Bieber has already received a lot of radio love.
