No one expected Jennifer Hudson to win a Grammy award after losing “American Idol.” I guess we just expected her to return to her hometown and give up on her innate ability to wow an audience with powerful vocals. That’s the case, most of the time on “Idol,” the inspiring artists we once voted for become just an occasional Youtube clip.
#TeamBeautiful was reminded of the talent presented on a grand “Idol” forum after watching Season seven star Syesha Mercado cover Adele’s “Skyfall” on GossipOnThis. It made us think about the other amazing singers on the flailing TV show.
So, here’s to them! A group of voices that will forever have a home on HelloBeautiful!
Syesha Mercado- Season 7
Frenchie Davis- Season 2
Jennifer Hudson-Season 3
Paris Bennett- Season 5
Melinda Doolittle- Season 6
Katharine McPhee- Season 5
Tamyra Gray- Season 1
