Virginia Woman Petitions For Victoria Secret To Make Breast Cancer Survivor Bras
27-year-old Allana Maiden recently logged on to Change.org and started a petition for lingerie giant, Victoria’s Secret to start making bras for survivors of breast cancer. More specifically, Maiden wants the chain to help women who have had mastectomies feel beautiful again.

Impressively so, Allana’s petition hit numbers over 90,000! The inspiring change maker set out to help her mother, Debbie Barrett–a woman who’s beat cancer for 21 years. Maiden’s attempts seem to be working! She’s spoken with Victoria’s Secret’s Vice President of External Communications, Tammy Roberts Myers and explained how mastectomy bras work. Although Victoria’s Secret hasn’t made any formal statements, Myers told Maiden she would pass the information along to the proper people.
This reminds me that change starts simply with one person making one choice.
