Jamie Foxx Joins “The Amazing Spiderman 2” & Mariah Carey To Produce “Drumline 2”
Jamie Foxx has played many roles in his career, from a mentally retarded musician in “The Soloist” to an ex-con in “Bait.” But none of the Academy Award winner’s roles are like the one he just landed. Foxx will play Electro, the alter ego of Spider-Man enemy Max Dillon, in the “Amazing Spiderman 2.”
Meanwhile, on the other side of town, Mariah Carey announced that she will be producing “Drumline 2.” Crickets. Not sure how Nick Cannon will be involved with the film now that he can’t pass for a college student. Maybe he’ll be that older college mentor who still thinks he’s cool and proves to the younger kids that he still has it by performing a dramatic drum scene….just guessing.
