A Big Pink Bus Brings Hope To Those Affected By Breast Cancer

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but Breast Cancer is a lifelong fight, no matter how it impacts your life. Thank God for the good folks at the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation. This organization is a sanctuary of resources for families dealing with breast cancer. They have introduced the Hope Bus, which is a 38-ft pink RV driving around with the intentions of raising breast cancer awareness, increasing breast health education, enhancing the quality of life for breast cancer patients, as well as their families and friends and generating funding for local breast health programs.

The Hope Bus creates hope for women fighting Breast Cancer and acts as a safe haven for many across Rhode Island and into Massachusetts. The Hope Bus stops in various locations like community centers, hospitals, churches, health fairs and more, providing healing arts programs, spa services, nutrition classes, support groups, access to the Women’s Cancer Screening Program (which provides free mammograms to uninsured/underinsured women) and a safe environment in which to share experiences and life stories.

It’s so inspirational to learn that people all over the world fight hard to make sure they can change the way Breast Cancer affects us all.
