Amar'e Stoudemire Tweets His Enagement & Ciara Announces New Music

I have been a Ciara fan from day one. When “Goodies” dropped, I was right there, tempting gravity, trying my best to do her patented “Matrix” dance move. But something happened after Ciara’s 2006 sophomore album, Ciara: The Evolution that placed Ciara in the same vein as many other beautiful and talented women like–Olivia, Ashanti, Mya–you get it.

With the recent announcement of her latest album, One Woman Army as well as her apparent want for relevancy via Twitter/Instagram, we’d think that Ciara was readying herself for a strong comeback. Unfortunately, it’s not that easy–at least for her. Here’s three reasons why poor lil’ CiCi may not ever win.

1. He Put A Ring On It

Ciara’s rumored boyfriend, Amar’e Stoudemire just proposed to his baby’s mother this weekend in Paris. He spared no romance and even tweeted the entire experience while Ciara tweeted this:

Embarrassing. You may have 10 rings–one for each finger–but you don’t have the one from Amar’e that matters. Womp.

2. Army Of One

Rihanna has her Navi and Nicki Minaj has her Barbz. Ciara’s got…well, she’s an One Woman Army–which happens to be the title of her fifth studio album. Ciara claims that, “This is the most vulnerable I’ve ever been in my life and career.” Well isn’t that nice. I doubt we need Ciara to be vulnerable. When we’re listening to Ciara, we want to dance, not have an emotionally cathartic moment in time. She’s already setting herself up for failure with this one. Not to mention, she says the lead single, “Sweat” (could be promising!) is due “anytime soon.”

3, Lights, Camera, Action!

Yes, Ciara may be a pretty face in the new Adam Sandler movie, “That’s My Boy,”  but pulling a Justin Timberlake and focusing on acting may not be the best idea, considering her struggle singing career needs more attention than she or those that support her have to give. I understand saturating our screens with her presence, but seeing Ciara smiling on the silver screen doesn’t make me want to go out and buy One Woman Army whenever it actually comes out.
