Azealia Banks–my favorite hip hop newcomer–is making waves in more than music. The adorable, yet risque (in lyrics) rapper was designer Alexander Wang’s date last night at the Met Gala and the lyrical darling even got a chance to perform at Prada’s Met Gala After Party.

The “212” star went from a black leather cut-out moment to bright pink short shorts and top and completed the look with a white furry Prada cat bag and pulled a Lady Gaga (who she shares a manager with) and took her cat look even further, by becoming one.
Banks gave a fierce feline performance at New York’s Standard Hotel amongst fashion’s elite. Mark my words–this girl is a big deal and it set to light the hip hop world on fire. Word to Nicki Minaj’s lacefront.
