Rihanna sang her pretty heart out for the Billboard Music Awards audience in an emotional performance of “Love On The Brain” from her chart topping “ANTI,” album.

Riri stood in the middle of the stage with only a mic and her robin-egg blue fur.

No dancers, no gimics, no special effects, just voice, and boy did she deliver! Rihanna stood out vocally among the award show’s other performances so far–showing proof that she is more than a “quick hit” pop star, she’s an artist.

Having just come off her #1 hit “Work,” Rihanna clearly wanted to prove to her fans that she’s good for more than the sweaty club vibe. Even though we absolutely love those wine gal and pop gawdess techno dance hits, we love that at this point in her career Riri is free to bring out her inner vocal beast.
