Cam Newton confirmed rumors he and his longtime girlfriend welcomed a baby into the world last week. The stellar quarterback asked for privacy on Twitter, adding he kept the birth secret to avoid team distractions.

Cam Newton danced in the end zone after scoring a touchdown this Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, but the quarterback appeared to be celebrating way more than six points. The handsome athlete cradled a baby and pointed to the stands, leading fans to believe he and his girlfriend Hazel had a baby.
A few days before the game, Cam reportedly left Panthers practice early for personal reasons, which is when it’s speculated she gave birth. Baby rumors began swirling months ago after a photo of Hazel, allegedly at her baby shower, surfaced on the Internet.
While Joe Person tweeted that Cam said there was no significance to the dance, a photo of Cam posing with a registered nurse, at an Atlanta hospital, popped up on Facebook.
The caption read, “Perks of being a registered nurse! You get to meet celebrities and help deliver their babies. My mother and Cam Newton! She has met all the high profile patients that come to her hospital in Atlanta.”
