Nicki Minaj Reveals The Cast Of Her Upcoming Sitcom
Nicki Minaj has been preoccupied with finding the cast for the upcoming sitcom based on her childhood. That search has finally ended after Minaj “literally handpicked” the cast.
Minaj revealed on Instagram that Ariana Neal (who played Michael B. Jordan‘s daughter on Fruitvale Station) will play Nicki Minaj on the show. Selita Ebanks (Real Husbands of Hollywood, Kanye West’s Runaway) will play Minaj’s mother Grace, and Wesley Jonathan (The Soul Man) will play her father Vincent. Minaj has managed to get Whoopi Goldberg to sign up to play her neighbor Miss Martha.
Titled Nicki, the new sitcom will premiere in 2016 on ABC Family (which will be known as “Freeform” in the new year) on Jan. 12).
