Chadwick Boseman, who is known for his role in the Jackie Robinson movie ’42,’ will be starring as Thurgood Marshall in a film chronicling the life of the legendary Supreme Court justice.
Deadline reports that the movie will follow a young Marshall as he works his way through one of his most intense cases.
Right before World War II, the NAACP sent Marshall to Connecticut to defend a black chauffeur in a sexual assault and attempted murder trial.
Marshall teams up with a Jewish lawyer, Samuel Friedman, to fight against a prejudiced community amidst a high tabloid case.
This landmark trial lays the groundwork for the Civil Rights movement.
We love seeing our history played out on the big screen, especially when our black heroes are being depicted  by such talent.
Will you be tuning in?
