Former NFL player Warren Sapp has plead guilty to one count of domestic violence, Essence reports. Sapp was initially charged with three counts but prosecutors dropped it to two counts in a plea deal includes no jail time for Sapp.
The domestic violence incident involved Sapp’s girlfriend, Chalice Moore, whom he bit as well as stomped on the head, according to reports. Sapp was also ordered to play almost $3,000 in fines, commit to 6 months of domestic violence counseling, and is barred from contacting the victim. Sapp will also have to complete 48 hours of community service.
The incident that took place on April 28th in Las Vegas began when Sapp threw a drink in his girlfriend’s face, then proceeded to get more violent at Moore’s home. At one point, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal, which cites the initial police report, Moore ended up on the floor without knowing how she got there.
This is not the first time Sapp was involved in a domestic violence incident. In 2010, he was arrested in South Florida for the same thing.
