Snoop Dogg’s son, Cordell Broadus, who was one of the most highly recruited high school seniors in the country, seemed like he had a bright football career ahead of him. However, he has had a change of heart.
According to reports, Broadus is quitting his UCLA football team to pursue a career in film. Broadus, who is a freshman at UCLA, did not show up to his first week of Bruins camp even though he was expected to compete for a starting wide receiver position this season, and now we know it’s due to his new direction.
“Cordell is an amazing young man with many talents, and we wish him nothing but the best as he continues to pursue his degree,” said head coach Jim Mora.
Sounds like an amicable departure, and it also sounds like Broadus has a bright future ahead, especially since he’s already connected to Hollywood through his dad.
