It’s Official: Raven-Symone Joins ‘The View’

We had a feeling this was going to happen but now it’s official, Raven-Symone is a new host on The View.

Whoopi Goldberg made the announcement on Wednesday morning.

“We are making huge announcement today. We’re kicking something special off. We are happy to announce that Raven-Symoné is now permanently on The View!”

Raven-Symone released an official statement to ABC:

“The Disney Company has made another one of my dreams come true! Being a part of ‘The View’ family will be a wonderful growing experience for me. The cast and crew are warm and welcoming and has made the transition into daytime talk easier. I have a lot to learn within this new arena, but being the apprentice of these spectacular women will only make me a better person and talk show host. I want to thank ABC, ABC News and The Disney Company for believing in me and my potential! Let’s have some fun!”

Raven even got the official co-sign from the O.G Barbara Walters!

“Raven- Symoné is a welcome addition to ‘The View.’ She is happy, amusing and well informed, and has already brought a unique perspective to the program that has resonated with our audience.”

Despite her controversial statements on Beyonce, Michelle Obama and being Black, Raven still won the ultimate gig. We can’t even knock the hustle.
