Orange Is The New Black breakout star Laverne Cox just added another first to her resume. Cox will become Madame Tussaud’s first transgender wax figure. Werk!
Laverne’s wax doppelganger will be unveiled at the Fisherman’s Wharf location on June 26 at a press conference right before the 45th annual Pride Celebration & Parade weekend in San Francisco, reports People.com.
“I am so deeply honored to have been asked to be part of the Madame Tussaud’s legacy,” Cox said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly.
In other Laverne news, Season 3 of OITNB airs this Friday on Netflixx.
