After a long drawn out season of “Love & Hip Hop: New York,” it has come to an end. And not a moment too soon, we were really getting tired of Peter Gunz and them. While we were at out wits end with the show, we love a good reunion special and Mona Scott-Young has passed her hosting job over to former TMZ host Nina Parker.
“With her passion for covering pop culture and all things Love and Hip Hop, Nina Parker was the perfect fit for VH1,” Nina L. Diaz, SVP, VH1 East Coast Production and Development told The Hollywood Reporter. “We are excited about her first hosting endeavor at the helm of LHH New York Season 5’s riveting 2-part reunion and look forward to more opportunities for Nina within the VH1 family.”
The season finale of “LHHNY” airs tonight. Catch the sneak peek, below:

The classic Black musical “The Wiz” is coming to a TV screen near you. NBC announced “The Wiz” will be its next live musical performance with the cast of Cirque du Soleil, airing December 3 before heading to Broadway. The production will be executively produced by “Sound of Music” and “Peter Pan” duo Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, with Tony-winning director Kenny Leon who are also tied to the 2016-17 Broadway revival.
“We love this yearly tradition and we’re more excited than ever to not only bring another Broadway musical to America’s living rooms, but also see it land on Broadway as well,” NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt said, according to HollywoodReporter. “It’s a natural next step for our live musical events, and we’re so pleased to be in business with this award-winning creative team and Scott Zeiger, president and managing director of Cirque du Soleil’s new theatrical division. Cirque’s incredible imagination will help bring the fantasy world of Oz vividly to life and give this great show a modern spin on the age-old story we all love.”
This should be good.
